Who Needs Diamonds? I’ve Got Shimmer
By Jennifer Houghton
Here’s something you need to know about me. One of my favorite things about Christmas is the chance that the envelopes I open will snow shower glitter on my floor. I secretly hope birthday cards are equally adorned. Despite my best efforts to reform, I am at heart a glitter girl.
Therefore, you will not be surprised when I confess that some of my favorite inks are shimmering all over my pages lately.
Today, I want to tell you about one that I’ve gotten to sample. I’ve tested it long enough to desperately want a full bottle when it returns to the shelves at Atlas.
Ferris Wheel Press has put out a Limited Edition ink for 2022 that makes me want to bring the 1920s flapper dress into the 2020s and show you how awful a dancer I am. Fortunately for the masses, I’m sticking with ink and showing off the sparkle from my pen instead of my infamous bad dance moves.
Roaring Patina Black is not just a shimmery ink, it sheens as well. It flows nicely with a gorgeous gold shimmer and a sheen described as deep red. But, I’ve got additional color variations depending on the paper I apply it to. Friends, the way to my heart is not with diamonds, just get me a bottle of this fabulous ink.
But Ferris Wheel didn’t send this ink out to dance without a partner. It has a companion limited edition pen, Echoes of Eaton, that has a smooth matte finish. It is made from copper, brass, and stainless steel.
