As many of you know, Atlas Stationers has always been more than a business, it’s a family story four generations strong. Today, we want to share a personal update with our community, who has supported us through every chapter.
Last week, our parents’ home experienced a significant fire. We are beyond grateful that both our mom, Therese (known to so many of you as Momma T) and our dad, Don, the previous owner and proud 3rd generation of Atlas, are safe and doing well. While their home sustained extensive damage and will require a year of displacement, their resilience and positivity have been truly inspiring.
If you know Don and Therese, you know determination is part of who they are. In true Momma T fashion, she returned to work right away helping the team get ready for Fountain Pen Day, greeting customers with her usual warmth! That spirit is exactly what has carried Atlas forward for decades.
We do want to recognize the incredible Atlas team. As our family manages these unexpected challenges, the team has stepped up in every possible way. They’ve been working tirelessly in the store, helping customers, and doing everything they can to get caught up with orders (Fountain Pen Day was insane!). They are doing an amazing job, and we are deeply proud and grateful for their dedication.
While this has been a difficult moment for our family, Don and Therese are moving forward with strength and knowing that they have such an amazing community behind them means everything. From our family to yours, thank you for being part of the Atlas story.
With gratitude,
Brian & Brendan Schmidt
