If you’re looking for the classic writing instrument par excellence, stop right here. The fountain pen Classic black has a timeless design with its barrel and cap in polished black. It is made of high-quality resin. The 24 carat gold-plated decorative rings and the characteristic Pelikan beak clip underline its traditional design, with a transparent-green ink viewing window as a classy and colorful accent.

The Classic black is equipped with a traditional and reliable piston-filling mechanism. Different nib-sizes are available when it comes to the polished high-quality stainless steel nib. The model in the size 150 is the smallest available pen in the Classic series (only the 300 Souverän is smaller), therefore it is ideal for a small hand. This fountain pen is also available with silver fittings (M205) and with a cartridge filling mechanism: P200 for the gold version and P205 for the silver model. The M is short for mechanism (as in piston mechanism) and the P is short for Patrone (the German word for cartridge).

Time and again, we were asked why Pelikan doesn’t offer its Classic piston fountain pens M200 and M205 with a cartridge mechanism – for those who travel a lot and for those who prefer the quick exchange of a cartridge to the more elaborate filling with a piston mechanism. At first, we hesitated. After all, Pelikan is the epitome for classical fountain pens with the famous piston mechanism. But when the demand came more and more often, we decided to act on it. Now, we readily admit that the simple beauty of the P200 took our breath away.

We are happy to offer two very popular versions made of high quality resin in black – either with gold or with silver applications. For more information on the silver model, check out the information about the P205. The gold model P200 has a stainless steel nib that is 24 carat gold plated and available in four sizes: EF, F, M, and B. To exchange the cartridge, the fountain pen can be screwed open right at the ring. This is also the part that has to be exchanged in case of a nib change.

USPS and UPS are both experiencing major delays with their shipping times due to heavy volume and staffing shortages from Covid-19.    

Free Shipping Over $50!

Atlas is happy to offer free shipping for orders over $50. Orders below $50 will be charged a flat rate of $5.99.  Most orders are shipped within 1 business day.  Once your order ships, we will e-mail you a tracking number so you may track it at UPS.com or USPS.com. Please note transit times do not include weekends and holidays and deliveries only occur on business days.

We do offer 2nd day air shipping via UPS.  Please note 2nd day air orders will be shipped out within 1 business day.  Transit time begins when the order ships and does not include holidays and weekends.  Some products are not able to ship 2nd day air.  

Products unable to ship via UPS or USPS may not qualify for free shipping. These will ship via common carrier from our warehouse to your dock/curb. Shipping charges will vary for these items. Please contact us for a shipping quote by email or phone. 

We are unable to ship to freight forwarders at this time.

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return the product and get a full refund for the merchandise.  You can return a product for up to 30 days from the date you purchased it. Any product you return must be in the same condition you received it and in the original packaging. Please keep the receipt.

Requesting a Return Authorization

To return an item, please use our Return Portal

Within 24 hours of receiving your request, we will e-mail you return instructions, including a return shipping label.  For standard returns, we will deduct a flat rate of $5.99 for the cost of the return label from your refund.  If your return is due to a product defect, we will issue a return label at no additional cost to you.  

Packaging and Sending Returns

Once you receive your return shipping label via email, carefully repackage the item in its original condition, including all original packaging and materials (manuals, accessories, etc.). Do not write on the product packaging. Please package the item appropriately for shipment.

Once received by our Returns Department, Atlas Stationers accepts full responsibility for all merchandise. We are not responsible for loss or theft before the merchandise is in our possession. 

If a product is being returned as new, but has clearly been used or damaged prior to its return, we reserve the right to refuse refund completely.

If you ordered the item incorrectly or change your mind about an item, we will refund the purchase price of the unopened, restockable item, less shipping costs.

Returns Without Prior Authorization

If a return is received without prior return authorization, the shipment may be refused and/or returned to you at your cost.

Manufacturer Warranties

Unless noted otherwise on our site, all products are sold with the full manufacturer warranty. The period and service of the warranty varies depending on the manufacturer and product. If you experience problems with an item after the 30-day period has expired, please contact the manufacturer directly.

Processing Refunds/Replacements

As soon as we receive your returned items, we will inspect and process the items. Replacements and refunds are normally processed within 3-5 business days.

What is the option to pay in installments on Shop Pay?


When checking out with Shop Pay, you now have the option to pay now or later.
