We are bringing you some new-to-Atlas workshops and Events this July that you don’t want to miss!

Atlas x Lina Nguyen: Paper Trails: A Cozy Collage + Memory Journaling Workshop: Friday, July 3

Lina Nguyen is a Wisconsin-based journaler and lifelong stationery lover who’s been documenting her life on paper since 2017. Her journaling style blends soft collaging, gentle writing, and everyday storytelling, inspired by the slow-living aesthetic of her favorite notebooks and tools. When she’s not creating layout magic in her Midori and Traveler’s Notebook journals, she’s hanging out with her husband and her dog, Frankie, who frequently makes guest appearances in her stories. Lina loves helping others discover the joy of memory keeping through simple, cozy creative practices. 

In this cozy, hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the art of memory keeping through collage journaling. Lina will guide participants through how I move from facing a blank page to building layered spreads using color, texture, and small everyday moments. She typically works in a Midori 1D1P MD Diary, but any notebook or journal style is welcome. Participants should bring their own notebook and pen for this workshop.  

We’ll create a spread together using a curated mini kit of papers, stickers, and washi designed to make collaging feel intuitive and fun. Along the way, Lina will share approachable tips for composition, layering, and finding inspiration, plus a few gentle writing prompts to help bring personal stories onto the page. The workshop will conclude with a short demo on how to photograph your finished spreads to capture a soft, cozy aesthetic. 

This workshop is beginner-friendly and perfect for anyone who loves stationery, wants to slow down, or is looking for a meaningful creative outlet. Participants will leave with a completed spread and practical techniques they can return to again and again. 

Atlas DIY Horoscope Pencil Board Workshop with Annabelle: Friday, July 10

Unleash your creativity and craft a one-of-a-kind pencil board at Atlas Stationers! In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to design and create a personalized pencil board that's both functional and uniquely yours. 

Whether you're a stationery enthusiast, journal lover, student, or simply looking for a fun creative experience, this workshop offers a welcoming space to make something beautiful and useful. No prior crafting experience is required: all materials and guidance are provided. 

Join us for an inspiring afternoon of creativity, community, and stationery fun, and leave with a custom-made pencil board that's ready to brighten your notebooks and planners! 

Atlas x Imperfect Concepts In-store Pop-up: Friday, July 10

Join us for a very special in-store brand introduction pop-up event featuring Imperfect Concepts! Alex and his team handcraft beautiful leaher jornal covers in both bifold and trifold styles. Using Vachetta Leather, eyelets, and paint, Imperfect Concepts curates phenomenal quality covers that will each be uniquely yours. Come by to meet the maker, check out his journal covers, and possibly get one of your own.

Alex has prepared a limited stock of keychains for this event! 

There will be custom cover embossing available for this event ONLY, so you do not want to miss it!

A Letter to Your Future Self Junk Journal Event: Friday, July 17

Inspired by a prompt from A Year of Junk Journaling by Martina Calvi, this reflective and creative workshop invites you to slow down, gather meaningful scraps, and craft a heartfelt letter to your future self. What would you say to the version of yourself waiting just around the corner? 

Using papers, ephemera, photographs, magazine clippings, and more, you'll create a beautifully layered junk journal spread that captures your thoughts, hopes, dreams, questions, and intentions for the months or years ahead. No writing or art experience is necessary, just curiosity and a willingness to explore. 

Whether you're seeking inspiration, reflection, or simply a creative afternoon, you'll leave with a meaningful keepsake and a deeper connection to your own journey. 

Atlas x Toyo/Karst In-store Pop-up: Friday, July 17

We are so excited to welcome Toyo and Karst to Chicago to feature some never-before-seen products! Stop by to speak with the brand representatives and learn more about their merchandise.
