namiki-chinkin-fountain-pen-wolf-moon
Namiki Chinkin Fountain Pen - Wolf Moon

Wolf Moon (狼月) is the name traditionally given to the first full moon of January, associated with the sound of wolves howling through the stillness of winter. Namiki's 2026 Limited Edition Chinkin fountain pen captures that spirit with a solitary white wolf standing beneath a brilliant winter moon.

The wolf is rendered in silver powder and layers of white, light blue, and bluish-purple lacquer, with its eye accented in Raden (mother-of-pearl) for a sharp point of light against the quiet, monochromatic landscape. The design is carved directly into the hardened lacquer using Chinkin, one of Japan's most demanding traditional lacquer techniques, with the carved lines filled with precious metal powder for remarkable depth and detail. Hira Maki-e brings the wolf, cliff, trees, and plants to life, while Togidashi Maki-e creates the starry winter sky. Silver powder carries across the pen to connect the moon, landscape, and sky.

Created by the renowned Kokkokai artisan group and limited to 300 pieces worldwide. Each pen is individually serialized, with the serial number engraved on the clip.

Specifications

Limited Edition: 300 pieces worldwide

Type: Vested fountain pen

Nib: #10, 18k gold, rhodium plated two-tone

Includes Namiki black bottled ink and CON-70 converter

Packaging: Limited edition Wolf Moon gift box with a black, silky lining

Handcrafted in Japan

Filling System: Cartridge / Converter (Included)

Nib: 18kt Gold

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0078/5642/2971/files/2026-Limited-Edition_Wolf-Moon_TipIn.jpg?v=1791219062
