Similar to printer ink cartridges, pen companies want you to buy into their format so they can keep selling you replacement pens or refills repeatedly. It's good for their business, but it's bad for the planet and stifles creativity.

As a product designer and craftsman, I’ve spent years designing and handcrafting calligraphy and fountain pens for creatives across the world. However, I noticed that the pens I used most often fineliners and writing pens were some of the worst offenders for disposability. Either they ended up in a drawer waiting for hard to find refills, or I was reluctant to throw away an otherwise functional pen simply because it had run out of ink.

The Lumos Mini solves this problem, offering all the versatility of its big brother in a portable, pocket friendly form. A beautiful and infinitely refillable fineliner, writing and brush pen, including 9 professional artist's tips and 2 writing tips. Its refillable system allows you to customise your pen with a variety of nibs and ink colours, reducing waste and empowering you to create without compromise.

We love it paired with the Lumos Loop a clever extra lid that keeps your Mini within easy reach on your keys, bag or lanyard. A perfect match of portability and creativity.

Designed for creatives, by a creative, the Lumos Mini is a beautiful and sustainable answer to disposable pens proving that good design can be both functional and planet friendly.

What ink can I use?
The Lumos is compatible with dye-based Fountain Pen Inks, so long as they don’t contain particles (such as shimmer inks) or binders (like acrylic or shellac).

Exception to the rule?
